(1) Monthly long-term care insurance benefits when using outpatient care in accordance with Section 36 (benefits in kind) and Section 37 (care allowance) SGB XI

(3) Long-term care insurance benefits for home care if the carer is prevented from doing so in accordance with Section 39 of Book XI of the Social Code
Those in need of care are entitled to care level 2 or higher. If no inpatient short-term care is used, half of the cash benefit for short-term care in the amount of 806.00 euros can be added to the outpatient preventive care, so that a total benefit of 2418.00 euros is available in the calendar year.

(4) Health insurance benefits after hospitalization without a care level
According to Section 37 (1a) SGB V, the necessary basic care and domestic care can be taken over by home nursing. According to Section 38 (1) SGB V, domestic help can be approved for a maximum of 4 weeks. If home nursing is insufficient, there is an entitlement to short-term care according to Section 39c SGB V of 8 weeks per calendar year.

Amount of the cost coverage by the long-term care insurance for short-term care § 42 SGB XI
Care straight 2 to 5 are entitled to claim. The entitlement exists for 8 weeks in a calendar year. The level of benefits is 1,612.00 euros per calendar year, with the possibility of topping up the funds for preventive care that have not been used. Half of the care allowance will continue to be paid for up to 8 weeks.
People with one degree of long-term care can, if necessary, have further costs of short-term care reimbursed via the entitlement to relief benefits (§45b SGB XI), provided that the budget is sufficient for this.
